A detailed close up image of the fresco of St. Nicholas debating with Arius, from the Cathedral of the Lady of Smolensk, Novodevichy Convent, Moscow. Painted in 1665, this image of St. Nicholas has survived remarkably well on the cracked, ancient plaster.
