Over and Out

Situated at the end of an old station platform, the modern vinyl covering over a vintage tin-plate sign has dried out, peeled, curled and flaked over the years, revealing a slightly different shaped arrowhead and deeper, richer crimson paintwork beneath the more modern, faded top layer. A sign that things used to be better and last longer in the old days? This image was taken at Hadlow Road Station, Willaston, Wirral.
